1. Prefect! This is just the tool I needed!

I have a problem with multimedia people who think they're the next big thing when they use Flash for their "portfolio". I need to show them that a computer-driven template system create much more interactive and enjoyable experiences than them.

Now I need to get the Marketing people on this so they can do it themselves...

2. Sorry, but this demo just screamed "canned static demo" to me. Throughout the course of their demo they did nothing but accept the defaults, and the music in the final product didn't match the music they played during the "select your music" phase. They never hit any submit buttons, only hrefs which didn't even pass GET variables (true it could have been some javascript trickery, I guess we'll just give them the benefit of the doubt on that one). However, the most obvious reason it was all canned was that by the end of the second day of presentations I'd probably heard the opening notes of Joan Jett's "I Love Rock And Roll" at least 200 times - if it were truly a live demo, why would everyone choose the same song?

Nice idea, but the canned demo makes me doubt whether they actually have a product.

4. Wow I didn't even know they were going to DEMO. I've been using impact engine off and on for the past 2 years for my ( really ) small business. For a one man shop like me, this kind of self service rich media ability is mana from heaven. Anyway, I can confirm that if you are a current customer, you have full access to the beta. To me the beta seems just as easy to use as the original, but much more powerful. I always like the fact that if you called their 1800 number, an actual person picked up the phone. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
