PhotoLeap, Inc. at DEMO 2005
PhotoLeap uses its proprietary compression technology to generate JPEG file sizes without the image degradation associated with that format. When the files are sent, the recipient opens the message in their PhotoLeap application and can see the images in thumbnail, preview, and slide show modes. The images you want to save to your hard drive, can be selected and downloaded. PhotoLeap also includes a print wizard that automatically formats images for popular printing tasks like generating wallet-sized prints.

(Page 1)2. Both of the images are incorrect, neither are Photoleap. The one with the large baby face would be a nice one to use. ;-)

5. The problems with Photleap as descsribed by PCMag on 2-13-05 are show stoppers for me. I really don't like programs that loads and launches all the time not only when I need it.
PCMag said:
"The problem with Photoleap, as with all services that have their own dedicated clients, is that you have to convince your friends and family to download the app, and that's not always easy. The client is fairly small—a 2.2MB download and a 5MB install—and it sets up in literally a matter of seconds. But the average user is often unwilling to install extra software."
Others may be annoyed that Photoleap automatically loads itself into the Windows system tray, so that it keeps running even when they close its main window. It even slips itself into their Windows Startup folder, so it launches every time they boot their machine.

1. I think your second photo on this post is actually from the Avvenu pitch, not the Photoleap pitch! I know I could have leaned over the desk to tell you this information but.... yknow. I'm a geek.
